Terms of Service

These terms apply to website design, development, SEO, hosting and related services provided by Modest Solutions (“we”, “us”) to you (“the client”).
1. Quotes & scope
Each project is based on the scope agreed in writing (WhatsApp or email is fine). Work outside that scope — such as extra pages, features or products — is quoted separately.
2. Free mockup
We may design a free homepage mockup before you commit. The mockup remains our property until a project is started and paid for.
3. Payments
- A deposit is due before full development begins. Deposits are non-refundable once work has started.
- The balance is due after you approve the website on our test link and before it goes live on your domain.
- Monthly services (hosting, care plans, SEO) are billed in advance and can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. SEO plans have a 3-month minimum.
4. Revisions & timelines
Packages include the number of revision rounds stated on our pricing. Timelines depend on receiving content and feedback from you promptly.
5. Your content
You are responsible for making sure the text, images, logos and products you give us are yours to use and are lawful.
6. Ownership
Once paid in full, you own your website content and design. Your domain is registered in your name. Third-party themes, plugins and licences remain subject to their own terms.
7. SEO results
Search rankings are controlled by search engines. We do not guarantee any specific ranking or traffic; we guarantee the agreed work is carried out and reported each month.
8. Hosting & backups
If you host with us, we keep regular backups and apply updates. We are not liable for losses caused by third-party services, outages or events outside our control.
9. Liability
Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service concerned in the previous three months.
